My understanding is "Look for it" means you go outside for nature walks to see if you can find the particular thing, e.g. camouflage, exhibited by an animal in its natural habitat (and then fill out an animal observation sheet). Classical Country Mama Posted August 13, 2010 Share Posted August 13, 2010 I took it to mean you look for whatever the characteristic is for the day. For example, Week 1 would be defense, camouflage, and then the food categories. I imagine we could fill out several observation sheets for the week, depending on how many animals we see for the various categories--probably I'll have my dd just pick one. For the weeks when we're not likely to see a particular characteristic/animal (e.g. Week 2--grasslands, deserts, etc), I will probably have her choose an animal from one of the library books. At least that's my thought for now--we'll see what happens once we actually get into it! Someone who's been through it I'm sure can make much better suggestions. (And I'd love them too!!!!) We're in the country and run into (or over) our critter neighbors on a daily basis... :D I really love the program already--thanks for the hard work in putting it together.
