Where do you store it? How do you keep it?

 

If you wear a piece very seldom, where do you store it so that you don't lose it and risk it being stolen?

 

My friend was recently robbed and lost almost all of her jewelry. I don't want to keep my jewelry in a jewelry box. But I also don't want to lose it, which is always a very real possibility.

 

And while I almost never wear it, I keep thinking that I might want to some day, and I am reluctant to put it in in a safety deposit box, though maybe that is the correct answer.

I don't have much jewelry, but the small stuff I keep in those day by day pill boxes. Its always ready to go, it doesn't pour out everywhere or get tangled (because its separated) the bigger stuff is in a small safe in my closet (with the SS cards).

I'm pressing my luck by storing what little I have (a couple of necklaces) in a jewelry box.

I wear my most precious items--a $49 wedding ring and modest engagement ring.

I like to look at mine, so I hung hooks on the wall. I have a few expensive things that I never wear, and they are hidden.

I have very little that's valuable, and I rarely wear it. I store it in a fabric box with a handle (like a makeup case). The only time I have taken it out of the house is when we were showing it. Otherwise, it's in my dresser drawer.
