To prove my lack of creativity or knowledge when it comes to preparing food....

 

I have three very ripe bananas. I just bought Nilla wafers and pudding at the store.

 

I am embarrassed to say I actually googled for recipes on how to put this together. Of course most of the recipes called for cream cheese, or whip cream, or something extra.

 

Can't I just throw these three items together, hand out spoons, and yell, "come, and, GET iiiit"?

See, I'm lazy. I wouldn't have gotten cookies and pudding. I'd have thrown them in the pancakes or oatmeal at breakfast, or made banana bread or banana muffins, or thrown them in the freezer to use later.

:iagree:This is my standard response to ripe bananas, but my good intentions for freezing bananas never come to anything and my rental kitchen isn't stocked for significant baking- I really am taking the easy way out here! ;)

I do put it all together, cover it and let it sit in the fridge for several hours to let the wafers soften.

I use a recipe off the Eagle Sweetened Condensed Milk. Uses Jell-o Instant Vanilla Pudding, 2 c. of heavy cream which you whip, bananas and vanilla wafers. It is yum-mo.

layer the bananas and vanilla wafers, then pour the pudding over it (before it thickens) and bake it. Maybe 350 until it is bubbly. Yummy yummy. Let it cool some before eating. it is even better the next day.
