MusicMouseTN
I had decided to go with Rod & Staff math for my dd because of the thoroughness of the program. Lately I have been introduced to MEP, and am wondering if they would be cohesive together? Would MEP be a good supplement to R&S? Something a little more colorful and lively? Or would they compete with each other too much? Thanks for your input!

twoxcell
Well I haven't use rod and staff, but I hear it is drill oriented. I think they would work well together. R&S would cover drill practice, and MEP is much more conceptual/puzzle oriented. I say give it a try since MEP is free it can't hurt to just print out a few lessons. mystika1
I honestly think MEP would go great with just about anything. It is so easy to use. :D
MusicMouseTN
Thanks bunches. I don't want to overwhelm her - and definitely don't want to confuse her! Or me! :)

walkermamaof4
:iagree: Having done 4 years of R&S I can say it is drill and kill. MEP is a joy in comparison and all you will need and free. Skip the R&S. If you need drill practice eventually, use the free online one on the mathusee site. Does the trick. But my dd7 doesn't seem to need any practice and he is the first I haven't used R&S with!
