ktgrok
What are your favorite resources for prehistory? I'm thinking cave men, big bang, evolution of man, pangea, etc. This is for my son, turning 11 in a few weeks. We want to cover prehistory this summer before starting TOG year one. Oh, and free is best :)
Lovedtodeath
The Usborne Internet Linked Encyclopedia of World History has a full book devoted to the topic. We really like the illustrations. It is really gorgeous.
Snowfall
Bringinguplearners.com has a pre-history portion to their free history curriculum. She mainly just uses the Usborne book, as far as books go, but she does lay it out nicely, with websites to visit and all the legwork done for you. :)
reesecoli
satorismiles.com has a great layout of her prehistory curriculum - very thorough with tons of fun projects that I think an 11 year old would enjoy. snowfall: thanks for the bringinguplearners.com recommendation!
