Ask the doc for a much more specific name, e.g. hypertensive nephropathy, diabetic nephropathy, nephropathy from chronic obstruction, lupus, Allport's syndrome, etc. etc. if you want to research it yourself, rather than just get info from the nephrologist. GraceinMD Posted April 6, 2008 Share Posted April 6, 2008 Pamela, if you go to http://www.aafp.org/afp.xml and then search on the AFP site (on the left near the top) for "chronic kidney disease," you'll find some articles from 2005 that might help.
