I've decided to purchase a set of solids. Would you please help me??? I Have no idea of how to post links (if someone want s to hijack the thread with directions for this ---- please feel free!). I want to get a set from Amazon (free shipping), b/c I have a gift card. It seems like the choices are primarily wooden, plastic or foam rubber.

thanks so much

Angela

Meant to type "geometric"! lol

This is how i add a link -

open the page you want to link to

copy the address

paste the address into your post

highlight the address by clicking and dragging along the wording

click on the link button above the text box, it looks like a world with a chain under

paste the address into the link box

click ok

your link should be done. HTH :)

Thanks! I'm going to print that out, so I'll have it in hand for next time.

I grew up with Montessori Geometric Solids, so I'm bias. :)

I'm sure with a little research you could find all sorts of parallel activities, to make the most of them. My favorite was putting on the blind fold and having someone hand them to me to be felt and identified.

I like that they're all the same color, and that they're made of wood. I once bought foam, and they seemed less serious to me. If that makes any sense.

We also enjoyed geo solids that can be filled with water or sand, to explore volume.http://www.amazon.com/View-Thru-Geometric-Solids-14-Pieces/dp/B0012NHEK8/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1274548209&sr=8-22
