art for 7 year old

My son loves to draw and has an amazing imagination and I'm looking for an art program to use with him. I can't use anything too advanced because he has problems with his fine motor skills and his drawings, while very creative, are not really age appropriate yet. I would love to encourage him in this hobby and allow him to feel successful and not be discouraged . Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't know if this will help, but I am going to use these two nature journals for my Ker and 2nd grader this fall for art...in fact, we're kinda doing those now. I just let them pick something that interests them, and then we go from there. Artistic Pursuits and Discovering Great Artist are what I am going to use this fall. My mom is an art teacher and she really liked the programs. I had other moms recommend them to me and say they were both excellent.

I used Artistic Pursuits with my 7 and 5 year olds this year and they really enjoyed it. I really liked it because it wasn't overwhelming for me....I'm no artist:)

If you aren't looking for a curriculum per se, ... I would just use the library & the internet. youtube wii have a lot to help your son. Netflix may even have something.

I know this is strange, but even though we go to the library just about every week - it never occurred to me to look for art stuff there. They actually had a ton of great stuff!
