Birthday gift ideas?

Recommended Posts

Okay, I don't know if this would work or not, but I came up with invisible ink for a seven-year-old girl. (Very DIY.)

Take one of those party-favor bubbles containers that is empty, pop the wand out of the lid, rinse it out, and fill it with lemon juice.

Take a utility knife and split the end of several round toothpicks - make a split about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch long.

Include a small pad of paper and (if required) instructions on how to write using the toothpicks, let it dry, and then iron the paper on high to read the message. (Note: the mystery books tell you to use a candle flame, but I burned the paper both times I tried that.)

Might work if he doesn't mind homemade gifts.
