Desert Rat
Hello all, I'm starting my planning for my oldest's 5th grade year. I'm looking for recommendations for the following subjects: Chemistry - We've already finished RS4K and I'm looking for something a little more challenging. He's a math/science kid. Latin - We've finished Latin for Children C and I want to continue his Latin studies because he really enjoys it and shows an apptitude for the language. Logic - I'd like to start logic this year and have no idea where to start. :001_huh: Any and all help and suggestions are appreciated. TIA for helping me sort through curriculum choices. There are so many! I'm so confused! :001_smile:
laurad1125
We used Great Science Adventures Chemistry with ds11 earlier this year. He loved it and learned a ton of chemistry. It's got 3 levels of assignments that cover K-8 so you could adjust the curriculum to your son. Jen+4dc
Logic - I'd like to start logic this year and have no idea where to start. :001_huh: We are finishing up 5th. I've used all three of the Blast Off with Logic and A1-A4 of MindBenders. We love them around here! Next year we'll probably do the MindBenders B series. Jamee
We just finished Science Explorer: Chemical Building Blocks. I thought it was a good intro to chemistry and rather challenging too. I liked that along with Kitchen Chemistry. Fun experiements in there.
