Medieval Mom
Does anyone have any suggestions for handicrafts for young people? My ds will be 7, starting 2nd grade, and I'm looking for suggestions. He loves hands-on activities, but if it's not planned, it doesn't get done! (My fault.) Any ideas? I'm interested in something USEFUL, even if it's archaic, rather than just *crafty* (cutting out bunnies and gluing on cotton ball tails). I've come up with a few: Learning to tie various knots Knitting Crocheting Simple sewing Wood carving () Simple cooking :lurk5:

cougarmom4
Perhaps not very useful, but a step up from cotton balls as bunny tails, I'd suggest origami.
