Heather in WI
Our website is going live shortly. This sentence is driving me CRAZY. Can you please help? Our company services A, B, C, D, E, F and many other communities within aa, bb, or cc County in southeastern Wisconsin. If aa, bb, and cc are the three surrounding counties, should it be "County" or "Counties"? Or, is there a more grammatically correct way to word this sentence? Kirch
It should be ". . . in aa, bb, AND cc counties." The "or" is probably what's making it sound off. It implies that you only work in one of those counties instead of all three. I'd also say "in" instead of "within."

I would say "Our company services A, B, C, D, E and F. We also provide services to many other communities in SE Wisconsin." Keep it simple. :)
Heather in WI
Thank you, Kirch. :) URGH, Mrs. Mungo. Now you have me stressing about another possibility! :tongue_smilie: Our website designer wants us to include all of the above to "maximize search engine hits". I agree it sounds very wordy and doesn't really flow.
easygoer
Would he go for something like "Offering ___ services throughout SE WI's aa, bb, and cc Counties including the communities A, B, C, D, E"
Suzanne in ABQ
It should be ". . . in aa, bb, AND cc counties." The "or" is probably what's making it sound off. joannqn
How about breaking it up into two sentences? We service a, b, c, d, e, and f. We also service many communities in the aa, bb, and cc counties of southeast Wisconsin.
