I hadn't seen it before, but glancing through it, it looks like a good resource, maybe 4th grade and up for an a on schedule student?

Swan's Speller is also nice, spelling first, then Latin and Greek root study later (Latin starts at page 102)

Thanks for the link, ElizabethB, and sorry I didn't link earlier.

 

After reading through most of this booklet, I can't imagine a problem with introducing some of the derivations for my 9 y/old. We can start out with some of the simpler ones, then build as we go. I can imagine that this could be useful for several years, perhaps cycling through as ability increases. We will be working on spelling at the same time.
