The directions are: Transform the following active sentences to passive without altering the sense of the action, and then translate. 1. Senes id genus ludorum non dilexerant. My son wants to know the translation of THIS sentence which is not given in the answer key - only the translations of the "transformed" sentences are given. The answer key for the transformed sentence is: Id genus ludorum a senibus non dilectum erat. This type of entertainment had not been admired by the old men. He is not having issues with the verb part. He says they change it to ablative to make the passive work, but he says in the original sentence it must either be nominative or accusative based on the "es" ending. Can someone translate the ORIGINAL sentence for us, pretty please! Thank you. He is very frustrated right now, and I cannot help him.
