rachserra
I was just wondering if I could get feed back as to whether you need to use both FLL and WWE. Do you find that it is too much writing? I am considering this combo for my 3rd grader. We use IEW now and I could just use FLL and IEW SIW A. Any thoughts? Thanks:bigear:
Carrie12345
I use FLL and WWE with my 6 and 7yos. They're at the same pace for FLL and separate books (1 and 2) for WWE. There are days that I don't have them do the writing activities in FLL because they have plenty with WWE that day. Although, come to think of it, they do 2 lessons in WWE each day. I've never used IEW, so I can't speak to that, but we're loving the FLL/WWE combo.
kclopez
I think if you continue using IEW that you could just add FLL. There are opportunities for narration, copywork, dictation. I find that using FLL and WWE with my 2nd grader - I don't do the writing recommended in FLL because he is already doing it in WWE and history. FLL should be plenty to add and it hits the grammar in a fun, gentle way.

Thanks:bigear: IEW and WWE are writing programs. I don't know what SIW is, wow! It isn't often that I don't know an abbreviation. FLL on the other hand is grammar, is SIW grammar? You don't need two programs to cover the same subject. That said I don't do the narration, copywork and dictation in FLL because all that is included in WWE. I just do the grammar. rachserra
Thanks for all of your input. SIW is Student Intensive Writing From IEW. I may not have the abreviation exactly right, though. I do appreciate all of the help.
