elegantlion Posted December 27, 2009 Share Posted December 27, 2009 No, many of them do not. We just bought ds a green dot reloadable gift card and they wanted that info to activate it. Plus it had a 5.95 monthly fee that he hadn't noticed when he bought it. Dh returned it and got the cash back (with only a little hassle). :D We use many non-reloadable gift cards and while they may require address to register so you can use it online none of them ever required dob or SSN. I think the person who bought it thought he was getting me a simple WalMart gift card, which would have been fine. This one is a huge pain, required some confirmation number off the receipt that the guy no longer had. I should dig that out and see what I can do. I certainly don't want to throw away his $30.
