diaperjoys
We really like AAS, but I'm finding I just can't get to it as often as it should be done. Is there something workbooky that would compliment what we've already done in AAS? We're close to the end of level 1, and I might be able to stick it out through level 2. By the end of the school year, though, I'll likely have to transition the oldest to something he can do a bit more independently while I'm working with the younger grades. What spelling curriculum would compliment what we've done already??

When he reaches 4th grade you can move him to Megawords, which follows a similar sequence. I personally have my oldest two do AAS daily, but my younger two do it a couple times a week. LittleIzumi
*cough* you sell your TMs to me *cough* :tongue_smilie: I like the look of Sequential Spelling but we haven't really done it, just have the book waiting. Need AAS first.
Jen500
We started with AAS and then switched to How To Spell workbooks. http://www.epsbooks.com/dynamic/catalog/series.asp?subject=71S&subjectdesc=Spelling+%26+Grammar&series=1847M

MerryAtHope
Is this for your 6 yo? If you do both book 1 and book 2 this year, I think you're ahead of the game. Maybe doing it 3 times a week might work, have you tried that to see if the info sticks? Are you spending more than 10-15 minutes a day on it? That's plenty of time for this age. Merry :-)
