Mid Calf/Knee high boots for small calves?

Recommended Posts

I have small calves (and short legs) and find that most nice dressier boots are made for women with bigger ones. They bag on me and look horrible!

Anyone have a suggestion on what brand works with small legs?

I dont want to spend a fortune but I have been searching for 2.5 years with no luck. If I have too I will spend what I must. :) I have very few stores available to me so internet shopping is the way I must go.

I like the shaping of this boot. I am not a fan of rounded toes and I am not opposed pointier toes either. I like a heel that isnt too small or those flat rectangular heels.

I don't have any help, but I'm here to commiserate with you! I can never find knee high boots that fit around my (relatively) skinny shins. It seems like with all the super-skinny models out there, there should be some boot that fits. Right? What do they wear?

Endless and Zappos both do free shipping (*very* fast) and returns. Last year when I needed boots and didn't have time to shop, I ordered six or eight pair, tried 'em all on, and just kept one. (Conveniently, the pair that was on sale was my favorite!) I can't remember which company I used for that purchase, but dh and I have ordered from both with good experiences. I think one (or both?) of them even has a delayed payment option, so you can try without even paying for a few days (which gives you time to return the ones you don't want)...

Try "stretch" boots. They are made of a synthetic leather that stretchs so they fit tight around the calf. I have 2 pairs. They don't "stretch" on my calf, but fit just right.

These are the ones that I gravitated toward because I assumed they would fit better. LOL these bag the worst, especially around the ankle.

Thanks for the other suggestions I will go check them out. I looked at Nordstroms yesterday as they have a search feature that can narrow down by calf size. They didnt have much to offer but gave me some good ideas anyway.

Thanks everyone. :)
