Heather in the Kootenays
I remember hearing about a small apartment sized form of clothes dryer that uses way less energy than the norm and that doesn't need venting. Of course, I can't remember the details. Does anyone know what I'm referring to?

Sounds like a line from the shower head to the light over the bathroom sink.:D
Ravin
Sounds like a drying rack to me. I tried to google "low energy clothes dryer" and the first page of hits were all for articles on hanging clothes to dry. :tongue_smilie:
Heather in the Kootenays
And the next hits are on "energy star" dryers. As my poor tired brain recalls, this was something different than either the non electric or the conventional dryer. I should have been taking notes. RegGuheert
We actually bought two of these all-in-one washers with a high-speed spin and dry cycle to replace our washer and dryer. We ended up returning them, since there was basically no way to get the clothes dry. Given the amount of laundry we go through at this house, the more traditional approach turned out to be a better fit. I'm sorry I do not recall the name of the product, but I can dig it up if you would like. In any case, I do not recommend this approach. Clotheslines, AKA solar clothes dryers, OTOH, are highly recommended!
