Denisemomof4
how can I help my youngest dd? Her scalp is dry, itchy and flaky during the winter. I put a ton of conditioner in yesterday but don't know if that's a solution. It's not dandruff as it only happens during the winter. Help! She's always scratching! Thanks,
Chelle in MO
My ds13 has that, too. My dermatologist recommended alternating Neutrogena T-Gel and Selsun Blue shampoos and that took care of it! Good luck~ Chelle
dsmith
My son is the same way. There is a Head and Shoulders that is for dry scalp. We have some success with that. Also, our pediatrician recommended the shampoo for cradle cap. That also helps. I just can't let him know it's for babies.:001_smile: Conditioners can actually make it worse with buildup. Your hairdresser or pediatrician may be able to recommend something else.
mrsrevmeg
My hairdresser recommended putting baby oil on my son's scalp and scraping it with a fine toothed comb. That worked until recently. The pediatrician recommended coal tar shampoo, every other day, followed by regular shampoo.
Daisy
We've been using Nizoral on my daughter's head and it has REALLY helped. The doctor says that if that doesn't continue to work we should go to sulfate-free shampoo.
