Alexandra
Have your ever done this and how did you go about making the necessary arrangements? Thanks Alexandra
Mrs Mungo
Do you live near a military post? Do you associate with anyone in the service? If so, that would be the easiest place to start. You could also contact your local USO. If none of those are really an option, how about volunteering at a veteran's home or call the VFW/American Legion to see if there are some home-bound veterans who would appreciate a home-cooked meal? OnTheBrink
I did this once. I was living in San Diego and IIRC, the radio played a spot where they gave a phone number to call to arrange to have military folks over for Thanksgiving. I invited 2 young single guys to join my singles group at church for a huge feast. They knew that they'd be joining the group, not going to visit a family, and it was fun! They were from Camp Pendleton.
