Can anyone tell me about the Make-Your-Own History book for American Story 2?

I'm interested in adding more "notebooking" type pages to our Modern History schedule. This would be for a 2nd grader. I can't find any samples of this book by WP and was wondering what people thought of it.

I have this for my 10 year olds. I find it extremely boring as do they (maybe they are too old for it?). I would say over half of it is just extra reading. There are a few pages where you read and then draw a picture. Then there are some more interesting pages. For example, there are three pages about the Wild West, and the pages have the students create a poster about the wonders of the west, a cover for a dime novel, and an announcement for a fur rendezvous. These pages are great, but overall I was very disappointed with it.

I've only had AS 1, but this was my experience with the notebooking pages, too. From what they said on the site, I expected a lot more of the creative type pages, but it was mostly just extra reading and coloring.

Thank you for the replies. I was looking at the program because it did have this book. I think we'll skip the book and just do our own lapbooking and notebooking for American history.
