Is 66 F too hot to serve soup?

Recommended Posts

We have people coming for lunch tomorrow, and I was planning to serve Cream of Potato soup with cheese bread. The guests are bringing a salad.

What do you think?

Should I go with something else?

Recipe:

lots of potatoes, peeled, boiled and mashed. (reserve water)

2 cans of potato soup

1 cup milk

1 cup half and half or cream

1/2 cup white wine

salt and lots of pepper

Boil potatoes, mash and add to crockpot

add other ingredients to crockpot

add in reserved water to thin if desired

sometimes I'll add a spoonful of sour cream

I think that sounds wonderful! I start serving soup in October as long as the weather is under 80 degrees as we live in Houston and if I waited for temps in the 60's we could be waiting a loooonnnggg time! :D We are huge soup fans around here. I hope your lunch goes beautifully!

Nope, not too warm.....that's freezing down here in Florida LOL! We'll break out the coats and mittens to go along with that soup. :D

Crank up the AC and serve the soup! We did that one year in FL when it was Thanksgiving and unbearably hot -- to get in the holiday spirit, we really needed it to be a little chilly!
