sadiegirl
We are giving cash as gifts to all the kids/grandkids this year. In the past, we have made a scavenger hunt thru a magazine or catalog linking to dollar bills or a bath towel with dollar bills(it "pays" to take a bath!). The ages of the kids are 8,12, 14 and we have boys and girls. Any ideas out there? I saw a couple ideas today on a google search that was to tape dollars hanging in side an umbrella so when they opened it--it was raining money! The other was to freeze cash in a ziplock in a block of ice and it was "hard cold cash" thanks for input
BritAnnia
I've used the cold hard cash idea (frozen bills in ice), and last Christmas I used the bills to create an origami tree which I then hung as an ornament on the Christmas tree. This year as I'm learning how to knit I'll probably make mini-stockings and tuck the bills inside them before hanging them on the tree. angela in ohio
I love the umbrella idea. You could make a "money tree" by clipping the bills to a bare tree branch in a pot, fill a toy treasure chest with dollar coins, replace the stuffing in a cheap stuffed animal with dollar bills (they have to "operate" to get them out.)
