Joanne
One of my Professors is an advocate of "mind mapping" to learn and study. As such, I googled and found a lot of info. Presently, I am using this: http://www.inspiration.com/ as a downloadable trial to see if it will help me with my graduate school. I can see where it would also be of benefit in our homeschool (I just haven't had time yet to go there). It's making great study tools for my Theories of Counseling mid term. :D
Jean in Newcastle
Have you looked at Tony Buzan's mind mapping site and material? I got some from our library. It is more organic. I'm using a modified version with my dd7 for her narrating. It helps to organize her thoughts.
Carol in Cal.
...who was it who used to use it all the time? Ria, maybe? Her kids loved how the GO part transformed into an outline pretty much painlessly. It looks cool!
