thescrappyhomeschooler
It's 3:52 AM, and I'm browsing the boards because my head is so stuffed up that I can't sleep. Actually, it's stuffed up and running at the same time. When I lie down, liquid snot is pouring out of my nose onto my pillow. Sorry for the grossness. I would just like to sleep and breathe. That's all. Thanks.

KathyBC
This was me a few weeks ago. Running the humidifier and taking cold and sinus meds let me get some sleep. Hang in there!
eaglei
NeilMed!!! Your post was me for almost a YEAR! Not to be gross, but in addition to what you listed, I was so stopped-up, that I couldn't blow my nose in or out. Mine was caused by allergies and they were so bad that I also got an asthmatic component with it, plus endless coughing, loads of phlegm - and I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Several doctor visits and a plethora of meds (prescription and OTC and herbal) - and NO relief! PLEASE go to the drug store or have someone go for you and get NeilMed! CVS carries it for sure. Do NOT get the store brand. Where we live, the starter box is $12.99 - you get the bottle and 50 packets. The refill box has 100 packets and is also $12.99. Buy DISTILLED water. This is a nasal flush. It is good whether the root cause is allergies, sinusitis, bronchitis - if it's nasal, it works! I use it in the shower because I think the steam also helps, but you don't have to be in the shower. IT WORKS! I can't say enough good things about it. I was completely miserable. NeilMed worked when nothing else did. BTW, I first learned about NeilMed here at the Hive, then three friends IRL also told me about it.:) Hope you feel better SOON! My dh has terrible allergies and asthma. He had this same horrible virus and someone recommended NeilMed. He's never been better!!! I total second the nasal flush. I used it, too, and think it helped.
sleepymommy
:grouphug: Hope you feel better soon! I make a saline type solution (salt and water) and use a neti pot.
thescrappyhomeschooler
My mom is a huge fan of the neti pot, and I've tried it. For me, it helps briefly, but not for very long. I will definitely try the NielMed. Thanks for the recommendation!
