dragons in the flower bed
One of that harder things about blogging and having olders? They - um - can actually READ your blog. So I might not be so apt to post about struggles or tough decisions, b/c they'd see it and it might not have a positive effect. Yes! My kids, for some reason, have no interest in my blog. My twelve-year-old is just starting to notice that I'm on Facebook. My profile is private, so his friends can't see what I write there about him. He's used to the pinch cheeking stuff between me and other relatives.
Beth in SW WA
I have older kids as well as the wee ones. I don't 'blog' about my kids. I save that for FB. :001_smile: For now, my blog has random photos of our family.
Homeschooling6
:iagree: Once again, I find myself agreeing with Tina :D I also have all ages & stages, but don't often blog about my middles. Link's in the siggie line - I'm about ready for a "blog makeover" - and I'll remember to put some info about my olders, as well. One of that harder things about blogging and having olders? They - um - can actually READ your blog. So I might not be so apt to post about struggles or tough decisions, b/c they'd see it and it might not have a positive effect. As a principle, I try not to post anything negative about my kids - complaining, etc - but kwim? I couldn't post about "Dealing with talking with _________ about s*x". It's harder to blog and not embarass kids of a certain age, kwim? My children are not allowed to read my blog:001_huh:because I do write about their ups and downs with regards to homeschooling. NanceXToo
My livejournal consists of entries about homeschooling both my 9 y/o and my 4 y/o. It tends to be more about day-to-day stuff with the 9 y/o than the 4 y/o though, overall.
