LaxMom Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Try freezing it, then scraping as much off as you can (gently, so as not to damage the fibers) with a credit card. Then, you can use GooGone for the rest. GooGone is a light oil base (like kerosene) and does not leave oily residue after washing. When I was at high school. boys regularly put gum into girls hair( via pea shooters) we would freeze it ( by holding ice against it) and then peal it out. dlcricket Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Warm vinegar dissolves gum like magic, and no oily residue! Just heat up white vinegar, and either pour it over the gum, or soak it.
