ProudGrandma
What curriculums would you recommend for a 2nd and 3rd grader with no keyboarding skills?? Thanks. Kathy
Pamela H in Texas
My mother, an occupational therapist in a school district in Houston, teaches kids by having them do: abcdefg with the left hand hijklmnop with the right hand qrst with left uvwxyz with both But a lot of people like programs. Anything from Typing Tutor or Mavis Beacon to a Disney program would be plenty for young/mid elementary, imo.
KathyBC
My tentative plan is to try the Spongebob Squarepants typing cd this fall with my 4th grader... and the 2nd grader, if she's interested. I seem to recall seeing a link to a spreadsheet comparing the various programs. 2009 Typing for Kids Software Review Product Comparisons
Shelly in the Country
My dd uses Spongebob Squarepants Typing. It's relatively painless, and she finds it funny.
