Surfside Academy
We're not Mennonite but I do like some of Rod & Staff's curriculum. I thought these might make a nice combination alternating with Pathway Readers. Anyne have any experience, thought, or opinions of these?? lapsetmom
I'm not Mennonite either, and I think they are wonderful! My children are doing well with their Bible and reading knowledge. The Bible stories are in child friendly language and yet stay true to Scripture. The reading workbooks lead students to think and contain a variety of activities. As long as you add some other resources in nowand then like literature and non-fiction, I think they are great!
daybreaking
My son really enjoys reading the stories and poems. Plus, his reading ability has soared by using the complete Bible Nurture and Reader Series (readers, reading workbooks, phonics workbooks & worksheets). 2_girls_mommy
We have only done the 1st grade, and we are not Mennonite either :) But we loved them. We did the full phonics/reading program over K & 1st. It was a very enjoyable time for dd and I to sit together and do these lessons.
