Osmosis Mom
Looks like a great day! And wow to your school-room. Nice space. I was wondering, though, where in the US do you live as where I am at it is pretty rare to see a great playground nestled in between the homes. I just love that. Going for a stroll to the neighbourhood playground.... Here in NH/MA you need to seriously drive everywhere.
LivingUnderGrace
Hi Nadia, My home is in the country, and that particular playground is in town, right near a LARGE catholic school with a few homes by it. I can drive there in about 8-10 mins from my home. I am in Michigan.
TracyR
Wow! You have the school room of my dreams. All we have is our tiny kitchen table and a book shelf stuffed with books to the gills because we live in a small apartment. Anyways, looks like you had a great start to your school year! mazakaal
You do NOT look old enough to have a 9th grader! Looks like everyone had a great day. I'm  that you're having the first day of your 2009-2010 school year and we finish our 2008-2009 school year this Friday. I am so ready to be done and so are the kids. We're taking a loooong summer break. So enjoy your school. We'll be playing for a while.

Aletheia Academy
Great pics and wonderful blog, Dawne! Love your curriculum choices. I'd be interested in hearing how your kids like Hey, Andrew!...We'll be starting that in Sept. Also, I have ds in MUS, which is working well for him, but I don't think it will appeal to dd. I know you have used R&S math in the past. WDYT?
LivingUnderGrace
Hi Nancy! Your dd would do better with traditional math right? If you think mastery would be best then yes, Rod and Staff is nice. :-)
