  1. Glad it's working for you. :) I'm having success with it as well with my boys. I simply dictate from the book, and they write the words in a notebook.
  2. No luck still. :/ But my other forums do work on Tapatalk, so I can't imagine what the problem is. lol :)
  3. I, for some reason, cannot log-in via Tapatalk. It keeps giving me an error message: "Failed to process XML Date due to unknown error". :/
  4. I've used both. My children and I, both, find SL to be much more engaging and interesting overall. I think either can have as much or as little depth as you'd prefer as various topics/people/events come up.
  5. We are thoroughly enjoying the Apologia elementary science books, by Jeannie Fulbright. Currently we are doing: Zoology 2, Swimming Creatures, up next we will do Astronomy, and then next late spring, Botany.
  6. Abeka math workbooks at the elementary level have always worked very well for us.
  7. I use this site on my smart phone as well and it is such a snap! It's even easier than the IPB board app...go figure. :hurray:

  13. 1st grade: - Bible and Scripture Memory - Intensive Phonics, Copywork, Oral Narration - Read Alouds 1 hour per day (from nature, historical fiction, literature, poetry) - Lots of time to play and explore - Applied math concepts, simple science experiments 3rd grade - Bible and Scripture Memory - Reading (nature, historical fiction, biography, literature), Copywork, Dictation, Oral Narration - Read Alouds 1 hour per day - Lots of time to explore, and play - Becoming proficient in arithmetic, applied math, simple experiments and collection - Begin Greek phonics and reading 5th grade - Bible and Scripture Memory - Reading 2 hours per day, Written Summaries, Outlining, Oral Narration, Formal Grammar, Interpretative Readings - Finish Arithmetic and begin Pre-Logic - Delight directed science, enter Science fair with project - Keep practicing Greek reading - Timeline, Mapping for history related readings 7th grade - Bible and Scripture Memory - Reading 2 hour per day (primary sources, classics, historical fiction, etc..), Compositions, Essays, Finish up formal english grammar - Begin mathematics, keep on with Logic moving towards Formal Logic - Begin formal science study - Begin Greek Grammar - Speech
  14. I wouldn't even think about a writing curriculum at this point, but, rather concentrate on letter formation. Either by copywork, letting her see the model of the formation style you want, trying a different handwriting curriculum, or doing HWT again if that's the one you really want.
  15. Math: Abeka Language Arts: ETC, McGuffey's, Bob Books, Oral Narration, Copywork, Memorization History/Science/Literature: Read Alouds, Nature Study, Experiments, etc.
  16. :hurray: I will definitely be using level 1 of both with my 6 year old in the near future, and I would also pay an arm and a leg if there were levels for my 12 year old. :lol:
