I clicked on the link and it looked fishy to me so I googled it and it's one of those Phishing Scams http://www.google.com/search?q=We+recently+have+determined+that+different+computers+have+logged+onto+your+Online+Banking+account%2C+and+multiple+password+failures+were+present+before+&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a We recently have determined that different computers have logged onto your Online Banking account, and multiple password failures were present before the logons. We now need you to re-confirm your account information to us. If this is not completed by June 19 2009, we will be forced to suspend your account indefinitely, as it may have been used for fraudulent purposes. We thank you for your cooperation in this manner. To confirm your Online Banking records click on the following link: https://online.bankofamerica.com/IdentityManagement/ Thank you for your patience in this matter. It's *always* safer, if your bank sends you something bizarre like that, to go directly to the bank's website and look for something there, or call the bank directly. Never follow links! Good job! LaxMom Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Yup. Bank of America (and I assume others) ALWAYS use the primary account name in their correspondence. When in doubt, you can always go directly to your online banking and look at the messages. I forward these things to abuse@bankofamerica.com when I receive them. They need to know about them.
