dtsmamtj
I need a writing program for this upcoming year. We have gone through two books by Evan-Moore which have proved helpful. I now need an additional incrimental approach to writing a basic paragraph, etc. Any ideas would be helpful. T
mcconnellboys
You don't say what age this is for, but you might take a look at McGraw Hill's Spectrum writing series. Also, WordSmith Apprentice will work up to paragraph writing.
Laurie4b
IEW --the basic program with the DVD's is helpful at every level for kids for whom writing is an issue. (Others like it, too.) Don't try to cut corners--you do need the DVD's. The notebooks are kind rough outlines of what is on the DVD's and the DVD's contain many, many basic tips on how to teach writing. You can resell them after you're sure you've "got it." With IEW, you have a program you can adapt to different subjects, and use from grade school through high school. Renee in NC
Writing Skills A or 1, depending on the age. These are EPS workbooks and very step-by-step.
home2333
My vote is also for IEW. Also good but not quite as complete is Structured Writing by Laura George. EPS Writing Skills books 1, 2, and 3 will also get you going. Grace
Pam H
We are using IEW and it has been great for us! There was a lady that used to post here, Claire, that suggested a program called Four-Square Writing that looks really good and is MUCH less expensive.
