dsacco
I'm looking at doing grade 5 with my son and grade 3 with my daughter to get them "caught up" with grammar and writing and wanted to know if the teacher manuals are really needed?
Chris in PA
I couldn't imagine doing it without them. It is where all the answers to the exercises are. Also included are the worksheet answers and test answers but you may not need those if you are just going to catch your dc up.
Hoggirl
and there are daily oral review exercises in the TM's as well.
dsacco
Thanks - I had looked at them before and couldn't remember WHAT was in them.
Harriet Vane
I concur with the others. I don't buy TM for all the curriculum I use, but I do find the R&S TMs to be absolutely invaluable. The answers to the exercises are just the least of it--I find the additional oral review and explanation to be quite helpful as well. I don't use the TM for grades 2-4, but for 5 and above they are very helpful.
Omma
I think the TM's are a must. We are doing 3rd grade and 2nd grade here. I love R & S English! It is so systematic and I love the quick teacher notes and oral reviews at the beginning of each lesson. Brenda
