Were you feeling better today?

What gift is causing the most excitement in your house?
purpleowl replied to Drama Llama's topic in The Chat Board
Please share a picture of it if you can! My oldest in particular would love to see that. Right now the greatest excitement is from DD#2 and DS, because there are two gifts with both their names. They have no idea what's in them, but man, are they curious! 😄 (It's swords and shields - they each requested both items, and I found a set of two swords and a set of two shields. It was easier to wrap them in the boxes they came in, hence the use of both their names on each gift.) -
Walked 4 miles and did arm work. I usually do a shorter walk in the mornings, but I did longer this morning because we're supposed to get some nasty weather later today and I probably won't do a second walk.

I hope you wake up feeling normal again. ❤️

At first I misread that as "high heels" and I was like...why? 😂 I'm glad you were able to get a lot of movement in today!

I forgot to post my morning walk - it was 2.6 miles. Also did arm work and 4 more miles this afternoon.

It's raining (all day) and I didn't feel like going out in it, so I did 20 minutes of walking in place in the living room. I also did arm work. In addition to not being as good a workout as walking outdoors, it's harder on my knee when I do the indoor version; I had a knee injury and surgery in 2013 and it's never been quite the same since. The other day I saw someone on these boards mention rebounders/mini trampolines, and that's supposed to be both a good workout and low impact. So I've told DH to give me one for my birthday next month. I will really need something I can do indoors once it's miserably hot out, plus we get a lot of thunderstorms in the summer. So hopefully this will be a good option for me!

Well, I walked another 4.75 miles this afternoon, but still forgot to do the strength stuff. Oh well.

I did 2.3 miles this morning but forgot to do any strength training. I'll try to get that done after the kids are done with school!

Walked 3 miles and did arm work.

Icy rain plus an already-hurt back doesn't sound like a good combo! Good to play it safe.

@sbgrace - it's Pokemon Go that helps me get out there even when the weather is yucky. 😂 It's a silly little game, but the little "prizes" in the form of game accomplishments that only happen when I walk are motivating for me. @Jenny in Florida - I know you have some daily goals for yourself. How did you come up with them?

1.2 miles in the rain (yuck). Also did arms.
