Find out when you can visit the parent(s) and puppies. If she won't allow you to come to her, you won't have to worry about all the rest.
What breed are you considering?
Mini Australian Shepherd

right click on the photo, and copy the image address. Then go to https://images.google.com and click on the little camera icon to search by image. Paste the image address into the box and click search.
shoot. Won't work because she texted me the pictures.

Ugh.
here is the thing, IF you do it, you must must must drive to her home and see the mother, conditions kept in , etc.
Puppy brokers are the new pet store - they get puppies shipped to them from puppy mills and post ads on craigslist, newspaper, etc acting as if they bred the puppies themselves. They almost always come up with a reason to meet you somewhere, to avoid letting you see that they do not actually have either of the parents. OR, they say they are "taking care of the puppies for their sick aunt/grandmother/boyfriend/cousin" and that is why you can't come see the mother.
Often the photos they share are actually stock photos or other fphotos they found on the internet. Definitely do a reverse google image search of any photos to see if they are anywhere else. For instance, on my local craigslist there are photos for bull dog puppies and the mother. But if you do an image search you find the same photos posted in other ads all over the country. Total scam.
How do I do a reverse google image search?

UPDATE: We have decided to keep looking. Thanks for your input. FYI-After a name change around 2010-2011, the AKC started recognizing the Mini American Shepherd.
We have spent the last two years looking for a puppy/dog for my daughter. I think we have found one, but I found him in a newspaper ad. The breeder is three hours away but is willing to meet us halfway. I have never purchased a dog from a breeder nor from a newspaper ad. They do not have a website. Their FB page was last updated in December 2018 with a litter of puppies. I cannot find any other information about them online.
What do I need to be asking before we purchase this puppy? What are red flags that I need to be aware of? Help!
Please no lectures about adopting from a no kill/humane society. As mentioned above, we have been looking for two years and have not found what we want at any of these types of shelters. And it is not from lack of trying. We have specific needs we are trying to meet. Thanks.

I have always purchased either Turbo Tax or H&R Block software and completed our tax return. This year I am thinking about skipping purchasing the software and just using one of those two options online. Anyone have experience using the online programs? Good/Bad? Other options you would recommend?
Our return is very simple-W2 income and some investment income including a K-1. We don't have enough deductions for Schedule A.

Make sure you’re 100% certain of the cause before putting back walls!!! If you just replace the damaged area, whatever is causing the damage will continue to do so....
Dh manages a company that consults in this field, usually to keep contractors in line. It does tend to be expensive. If a company offers to do it on the cheap, be very skeptical!
There is to much moisture from taking showers. There is a small transom window above the shower that is set in a ledge that is about three inches wide. Water just sits on the ledge. I think we will put tile in rather than drywall but the ledge will still be there and need to be wiped down after showers. I'm thinking I'm not going to have much luck getting the teenagers to do that. 🙄

We have mold growing in the window above the shower in the main bathroom. We tried removing it ourselves last year. Husband removed the drywall, applied Kilz and repainted. I also replaced the ceiling fan in case it wasn't working properly. The mold is back. Worse and now on the ceiling too. I am going to call a professional this time.
If you have had mold removed before would you please share your experiences with me. I'm getting the feeling that is going to be a lot more expensive than I thought. I want to make sure I am asking the right questions and that we get everything done correctly this time.
We do suspect it is affecting my daughter's health. Thanks!

Just north of the city is the Rocky Mountain Arsenal ... it's really close and there is a lot of wildlife to see and some decent trails but you're not any closer to the mountains... but theres buffalo.. so, that's a plus.

If you're willing to drive a little further, Red Rocks is a popular spot (the amphitheater) and gets you into some more woodsiness, Morrison is nice. Or Roxborough State Park on the south end of town (Littleton) is awesome and unique but to get back downtown by 2, you're pushing it.
Love Red Rocks! We were there last summer. Anything good in Golden?

Go eat at Torchy's Tacos. It's a revolutionary street taco experience. https://torchystacos.com/in/denver/
That's not an outdoors activity, but I thought I'd toss that out there. 🙂
Looks delicious but I have to eat gluten free.

I had to make a last minute trip to Denver. I have a Drs appt tomorrow at 2:00pm. I need something to do until then. Anything outdoors that isn't to far from downtown? I walked around downtown this afternoon.
Anything close to the mountains?
Thanks!

Me too. And I want to try that Tim Clare thing soon.
I made it to Day 5 of Week 2 before I got sidetracked. I'm hoping today I can start again.

@Pen Sorry you are going thru this right now. I have no personal experience but agree with others. I would let him finish the day. I'm assuming he is taking semester finals right now? Which would reinforce the decision to let him get through those tests today.

Apparently this is a scam possibly due to a Chase bank data breach in 2014.
UGH!
This news story has today's date. http://www.wbiw.com/local/archive/2018/12/residents-warned-about-amazon-chase-credit-card-scam.php

My husband received an Amazon Chase Visa today with a $10,000 credit line. He does not use Amazon and even stated he probably wouldn't be able to make a purchase if he tried (VERY tech challenged).
The Amazon account that we use is in my name only. I didn't apply for the card which is only in his name.
Has this happened to anyone else? I'm concerned his identity may have been stolen.

It kept freezing and locking up. Apparently they knew about it in Beta- as soon as I contacted tech support they just checked space, saw it was fine, and had me reload OS. It was doing it mostly in Safari or when using Dropbox. I switched to Chrome and quit using Dropbox on it and since the reload that seems to have stopped it from happening otherwise. But if I use Dropbox on it since the reload it still freezes it up and Safari is still glitchy. Next time I’m waiting six months before updating !
Yes! I always wait before I do an update.

@Pen I would update to High Sierra. I think El Capitan is from 2015 and probably not supported anymore.
I checked and have Mojave 10.14. I haven't had any issues with Safari since installing it. I do not use Dropbox.
I have Scrivener & Scapple. No issues with either using Mojave or High Sierra.

How old is your Mac?
I didn’t have problems with Sierra or High Sierra- but Mojave has given me some issues (and resulted in a lot of time spent with Apple Support with a 6 month old MacBook since the upgrade.) I would roll back to High Sierra in a hot minute if I could. Dd’s 2016 MacBook is still running HS with no issues. Won’t be upgrading that OS anytime soon.
Yikes! I just updated to Mojave three days ago. No problems yet. What issues have you been having?
@Pen I didn't have any issues with either Sierra or High Sierra. I would update to High Sierra personally as I believe it is the most current of the two.

Any impressions so far?
I've only made it to page 12. I'm hoping to get some reading done this afternoon. So far, I think I will like it. Can't say that I've read anything that I didn't already know but I am looking forward to see how she breaks it down the process of planning. I am normally a planner in life but haven't for either NaNo. So I'm hoping her ideas will work for me.
I had a fiction book that I wanted to finish reading first.
How far have you made it & what are your thoughts?

Mine will arrive here this afternoon. I'll let you know what I think later. 🤞

Experienced PANDAS/PANS parent. I don't like to post about it but you are welcome to PM me if you have any questions. I will say that my dd was not symptomatic of strep (negative swabs too) at the time but had ASO titers & AntiDnase titers that were off the charts. I would suggest you have your Dr run labs for both of these.
Unfortunately, her PANS was actually a symptom of a much larger health issue going on and just one of many chronic conditions that she now has. So I now have experience with lots of odd health issues. 😏
My dd has had all of the symptoms you have listed for your son.
And do I recall correctly that you have experience with Lyme disease yourself? Or am I thinking of someone else on here.
