  2. It is going to be another rough night I think. She can’t get comfortable. She finished her bath and I crawled into bed at 9:45. In the last hour she was called for me three times and her heart rate alarm went off on and off of 5 minutes because her heart rate was below 40 bpm. She was crying a few minutes ago. I just want to wave a magic wand and fix it all

I have slept with my shoes on for the last three nights so that I could be with her at a moments notice. I took them off tonight and haven’t been in bed for more than 20 minutes all night. I may leave them on this time

  3. They started feeding her formula for the first time tonight and when she woke at 2300 her blood sugar was high and they had to give her insulin. Iï¸ fell asleep worried. She woke again and 0300 and Iï¸ was just worried. The nurse assured me that the insulin need is probably not permanent. My daughter just looks at me so sadly because her throat hurts and she wants to be at home. It is just hard.

  4. The first day she was out all day. The second day she was awake and off sedation and pretty happy. Then she couldn’t be taken off the vent and the third day was frustrating. Now her throat hurts her and the while situation is getting wearing in her and she is just fretful. She is lightly sedated. She sleeps for about three hours and then wakes in pain and we get her pain meds then she needs to have the gunk suctioned out of her vent because it is making her chest feel congested so she feels bad and is just fretful. When the medicine kicks in she is awake and wants to talk with me. She moths out long sentences for me to lip read. Iï¸ am bad at it. Usually she spells words by tracing them into my hand and Iï¸ guess what she is saying. We talk for an hour or so and then she drifts back to sleep and sleeps for three hours before we do it again. She woke up at 3:00 in pain and so Iï¸ am still up

  5. Thank you. There is nothing about her situation that can be described quickly or easily even why she is still in ICU. And Iï¸ hate typing on a phone and Iï¸ am just so tired. Iï¸ have goid suppirtvand am getting eight hours of sleep split up through the day. But reality is that my husband or Iï¸ are with her at all times . We each put in about 12-16 hoys shifts with her but they overlap so we see each other for several hours a day

  6. I'm thinking you spelled it correctly all 3 times in your post.

Was it misspelled shattars? Surely not shitters!?

Yes, it was "shattars". My computer keeps fixing the mistake.  I corrected the original post

  7. My daughter actually got a tattoo that was misspelled by the artist.

In August my daughter went to get a tattoo of a poem. She went to a well-known and highly respected artist n our major metro area that she had gotten a tattoo from before. Her sister has 2 by this individual and friends of ours have another 5 by this guy.

In preparation my daughter printed out the exact poem and artwork that she wanted in the configuration, font and size that she wanted.  She took the paper with her.  The artist conferred with her several times about the work and finally printed it out as some sort of transferable ink design that he applied to her skin before he began to work.  I was there as he did it but I couldn't see him working. When he was done he sent her to the mirror to look at it. We both looked at it and thought it looked good.  After he covered it with vaseline I took a picture, he covered it with gauze and we paid and left.  About an hour later my daughter was looking at the picture in the car and cries "oh, no!  He didn't't. He did! Pull over right now!"  I pull over and she is hyperventilating (really) as she hands me the phone and says "please, tell me that he didn't misspell "shatters"". Well he did.  So we went home to double check that the picture we brought in wasn't wrong (it wasn't) and then called him. He told us to come in right away.  We drove back out and he confirmed it was wrong.  He went over it again to make it darker and correct it (he had spelled "shatters" as "shattars".  He told her to let it heal for a month and then come in again and he would put some peach color in over the wrong part of the 'a'.  She did and three months later you wouldn't know unless someone told you the story and you knew what you were looking for.

  8. If you want to simply label things around the house, I would go with a Brother P-Touch label maker. They are inexpensive, easy to use and last forever.

A silhouette cameo or Cricut is a computer-guided cutting machine, they can be used to cut, paper, vinyl, sticker paper, temporary tattoo paper, t shirt iron ons and more. They are a full-fledged craft machine.  They are expensive and while not difficult to use it takes more than three minutes to create and cut a label.
