  1. That's great that your rink loaned all that equipment to your son. One thing that wasn't mentioned that you'll need is a hockey equipment bag. Our sons have bags with wheels on them, because the equipment is quite heavy. Another place for used equipment is during a swap meet. Ask your rink if they have a time that a swap meet will be occurring. Our rink has theirs in May.
  2. I like to drink water, but occasionally use a squeeze of fresh lime. Does lime wear away the enamel as does the lemon juice?
  3. Thank you for the link. This book looks interesting. I was able to download it to my computer.
  4. We are also starting back tomorrow. It's been a long vacation, so we are ready to get started!
  5. I am sure that it will be hard to stop homeschooling when the time comes for me. I still have about 6 years before my youngest will be finished. I am really enjoying the time I have left. It goes so fast...
  6. I started at the very beginning with my two sons, Get Ready, Get Set, Go for the Code. They both enjoyed them. There were both in Kindergarten when I started them.
  7. My son has temporal lobe complex partial seizures. His first seizure lasted 1/2 hour and came without any warning whatsoever. His second seizure came without warning also and lasted over an hour (this was the only time it generalized). Medication was started. After years of medication, we found about high fat diets for epilepsy so we started him on the modified low glycemic diet. He is still on medication at this point. In the last 2 months since the diet began, he is still having the same seizure pattern, but his seizures are actually getting much milder. We also see definite improvement in all areas of his life. He feels great and learning comes easier to him.
  8. Both of my sons really liked Saxon Math in the early elementary years. It is easy to teach and they both learned a lot from it. In addition to math, they learn other things that keep it interesting.
