They are cushy-
but really hot in the summer- my feet actually sweat in them (and I am not a big sweater ;-(
I wear mine to feed the chicken and the goats in the AM and maybe in the garden- but my feet get filthy dirty through the holes. :tongue_smilie:
The only great benefit I see to them is the ease of a slip on....

We are down to $3.36, but prices are expected to start climbing again due to "Gustav". Dh is topping off the cars now!
forgot to add- we're in S. Central TX
We were $4.22 at the highest now we are $3.69- though all the surrounding towns are $3.50:glare:
DH said prices are due to climb quite a bit overnight due to Gustav. South Alabama here.

I second Math U See- that is what we used in the younger grades and it taught palces value well and made it so easy to understand . It has been a few years...we still refer to 'ones' as 'units' though.:)

We have the notebook and CD -It is VERY nice. I felt the investment was well worth it because this timeline notebook will span several years of learning - I plan to use it through highschool.

McCain might talk out of both sides of his mouth, but I strongly believe that he will use his Supreme Court appointments to put people on that bench that will overturn Roe v. Wade.
This would be reason enough for me to vote for him.
And even if is not true - I do strongly believe he will do less damage than Obama on this issue.

What is/are your favorite resource/ curriculum for teaching Art Appreciation?
Right now my goal is appreciation, enjoyment, and enlightenment -not necessarily memorization in this area...

While I respect everyone's reasons for voting any way they choose, I think that voting because one wants the rights of others to be taken away (which is IMHO exactly what a vote for John McCain is) is against my principles as an American.
What about protecting the rights of an unborn child?
What about taking away their right to live?
I have a lot of mixed feeling about this election -but I will not cast my vote for a pro-choice candidate.

Just a warning about the magnetic tape. I bought the tape at staples a year ago, cut it all up putting it on the back of all the tiles and they kept falling off(the adhesive didn't stick well enough). It was so frustrating. I finally went to a craft store and bought the flat sheets of magnets and they work beautifully.

The flat sheets about the size of an index card are what I got in the craft dept. at Walmart for .88 edited to add: the stick seems very secure.
