  1. See how obsessed I am to make a decision, I keep checking for responses. I keep standing in the big room visualizing what to do. It's making me crazy. So far it seems the vote is to move the twins into the big room.
  2. That is where I have been leaning. So if they had friends over let them play in their bedroom?
  3. We have a cape cod style house, 2 bedrooms up with the master down. The crazy thing is that one of the rooms up is about half the size of the house. If we had our wits about us at the time we should have split the room into 2 (future project). I'm obsessed with deciding how to use the room. It currently is used as a play room. It contains all the toys, tv and Wii plus a big leather couch. The problem is I don't like spending time in the room because it just seems too big, almost like I can't focus. It's not cozy. The other bedroom is T shaped and smaller, currently holding 2 full beds for our twins. Our room is downstairs. How would you use these rooms? Should I make the T shaped room into the school room, plus a few toys? I would then move the boys bedroom into the big room. Keeping it simple with a few pieces of furniture. OR....should I move our bedroom up into the T room, move the boys bedroom into the big room(w/toys) and use the master bedroom as the school room? We have a large bathroom and closet down that I would continue to use. Or just keep it the same! Ugh!Thanks for input!
  4. Just wanted to thank everyone for the display suggestions. We may actually try to do the gutter thing! You all were a huge help.
  5. For some reason whenever I try to post a question it does not show it as posted.....so then I hit post again and end up double posting. I guess I'm impatient. So, sorry about the double post! Thanks for all the great suggestions!
  6. I'm searching for a bookcase that allows the books to face with the covers showing. Could be one that attaches to the wall. Thanks for any help.
  7. Anyone know where to find one of these? Y'know the kind where the books face forward. Possibly attaches to the wall. TIA
  8. :iagree:Yes, I felt the same way! I actually had one of the manuals and tried it....the script just did not work for us. It took the "oomph" out of our lesson. It also made me feel restricted in a way. Strange thing, the script in FLL does work for us. Go figure.
  9. I'm glad you wrote this post! I've been trying to wrap my head around what to do for science and history for K/1 and have finally found peace with my decision......we are just going to read a lot of books within those subjects. No curriculum here. Maybe add in a fun experiment. We do have to report to our state though and they do require history, geo and science:tongue_smilie:. I will just list what we will cover in our fun books(lets read and find out about etc). You are not alone;)
  10. Thank you for your thoughts on it! I've been wondering if it covered enough. Also, I'm not a big fan of the Little Pilgrims book by CLP, though I think I may incorporate the History Stories for Children book. I noticed that the first half of the manual uses the LP book a lot. The science seemed very, very light(which is ok at this age)but I am hoping to do more extensive reading on animals and the human body. I'm realizing I'm answering my own post. ;)
  11. Does this mean-either nobody has used Little Hearts For His Glory or everybody that has used it likes it?:bigear:
  12. If I had to choose.....soccer. Personally, I found taking my energetic, all-boy boys to the playground weekly was great for them. He is still so young(though I know many start soccer at 4). We just started soccer(6yrs) and there is a good amount of standing around:D. Do you have a YMCA? They offer swim and gym classes or open gym.
  13. I may be easily amused, but I thought that was so funny! :D
  14. If you do a google search for Wii you should find a site that sends you e-mails when the stores have them in. I think it is called wii tracker. Maybe even wiitracker.com?? We were checking there often and then got lucky and found one at Target. If you have a Gamestop near you they get them in every week.
  15. I've seen lots of people posting that they like it(here and everywhere). Can those of you who did not find it working(or did not like it) please share why? I'm curious about the history portion of it? Among other things. TIA!
  16. Ok good! That's encouraging that it actually did come.
  17. Thanks for the 2 options of where to buy. I can save about $15 if I order from Amazon. Though it's showing not in stock. :tongue_smilie:
  18. For those who have it.....where did you buy it? It's at a great price on Amazon, but out of stock. TIA
  19. Have you ever had one of those days!! I so needed help with my question....but then by mistake I duplicate posted. On top of it I think I then went and erased all the posts. Sorry! Having a bad day.
