Can anyone log in? Mine came up with my user info from years ago when I had a subscription - and when I click on the link in my account info on HSBC it says expired. Same when I manually type it in. I was just curious if anyone could log in with it today!

Oh, I meant "Preview", the built in PDF/file viewer on the Mac.... I know nothing about the Doxie. I'd be returning it at this point, especially if it isn't creating PDFs like they say the 2 models can output. I'd go nuts with it taking hours! Maybe since KK has on you could drop her a message about it. I truly get that you just want it to work.... I can totally relate to that!

:( Did you mention if you had a Mac or PC? On the Mac I can open a PDF in preview and drop pages from other ones I have open into the document. Its easy to combine multiple scans. I would think there should be a way on windows too. Hopefully you can get it working with their help!

Thanks for this! But yes.... you are looking at it thru the filter of today, and it offends you. In light of what Kathryn posted, I'm thinking he was more than likely writing about something that bothered him, but was writing it in the only "PC" avenue available to him at the time. CHildren's lit. So perhaps he was writing it to the audience he knew that would one day change the practice? So kids could question their parents about why this was "right"? Applying the filter of today against those who wrote in the past doesn't work. You will always be horrified by words and actions - but it was probably accepted back then. Hmmmm, reminds me of the whole bias in a history book thing - allowing your bias of now to change and alter what you write isn't reflecting the reality of then. So I guess shelve it for now - and use it as an example of poaching when your son gets older, and then it becomes a teaching moment.

My goal is to give her a solid 3rdgrade to fix issues from 2nd, then send her back if her dad insists. This doesn't seem to meet that goal..... I think k12 was going to be a challenge for her, which she needs because she is bored. She asked for math books or Christmas! Ugh. Oh and why they did it? Not without her Dad's permission. The K12 was public school, but at home, so it meets the divorce judgement requirements. He is out of town for work, so I need to sort this out and talk to him about it..... he wasn't sure on the K12, and I wasn't going to do Connections - and now this.... And, I already sent my "extremely disappointed doesn't even begin to express my feelings" email to them. Darn it, I should have gone to that board meeting.

I just got a letter from my local school district that they are discontinuing K12 and Connections, and the only option for K-5th will be Little Lincoln. This appears to be so NOT what I was looking for for her.... I liked the K12 reading and history materials (she is a rising 3rd grader). UGH.... I'm so not sure what to do - and there are some massive things on my end that mean it might be my only choice. www.littlelincoln.org and lincolninteractive.org At least apparently the 3rd grade isn't the total cartoony demo I just watched - but I doubt I'm going to be feeling the love. Oh, and what do you take this statement to mean??? I'm so not going to be interested in schlepping her to the school for sessions of any sort. Crap.

I have it somewhere - but I'm actually trying to sort out what is causing the pain. I think it was a keyboard change on my desktop (and that is where I am instantly in pain - the iPad isn't really painful). I've switched back to the one I have been using since December and it is going better. This kind of happened overnight though - I typed 2 research papers for school without issue, and 2 days later I couldn't type a FB status! But if it keeps up, ya, i'm going to have to start talking to the device! :D

I used to be irked about it - but i've concluded that I would rather them keep their lower prices over doing a major computer upgrade. I've had 4-5 orders the last couple of months, with 2 backorders on one order. That happened to be the one where I had upgraded to UPS, and she shifted it to the $10 expedite for me before it had been processed to know there was the backorder. One of the back orders was long - 2 months?? Even they couldn't figure out what was going on. I have to say that the times of them taking 2-3 weeks to ship seem to be gone!!! That was why I was paying the $10 - it was that big of a difference and that pushes my limit of patience :D Anyway, I'm happy the $10 option is there if I need it!!!

I would assume you had a backorder then. All non-expedited orders are held for a week if there is a backorder to give it a chance to come in. Which is why if I need it quick, I pay the $10 to skip that aspect. You can call the next day to find out if anything was on backorder too. They are great about it and don't care (you aren't bugging them at all!).

I haven't played ith OneNote much at ll, I run Fusion and XP for my virtual machine. It's on the list to play with the next couple of days tho - but there the 4th and a kid birthday in there too! Right now my biggest issue is I can't type without pain. Which is making a bunch of things not get done. Oh, I can type on my iPad p, but that doesn't work for what I need either. And I'm having a computer location issue. I have to sort that all out first,,,, I'm sleep deprived at the moment.... Maybe it I'll ome to me overnight! :p

LOL, see, I forgot part! Apparently orders over $150 automatically upgrade to UPS too. I had a big order and it automatically upgraded to UPS, and I had paid $10 to do that - and they switched it for me to the "move to the front of the line" option. I really love their customer service! Anyway, i've found recently their shipping and upgrade cost to be reasonable. Which is nice.....
