I almost spit all over the screen. THAT is hilarious. We are lucky to be done by 3:00. Most often 4-4:30.

Cosmeo gets their games from this site. They are very cool and fun!

Susan, that is funny. A privacy curtain!
I read that putting golf balls in there will help b/c they can't penetrate the "shell" and it would help them stop pecking at the eggs. I am trying that first but if it does not work I may contact you about curtain instructions. lol.

It is lively.
We really enjoy the animals. They crack me up. It helps being a little nutty to begin with.

I may have asked this before but I could not find it in a search...
What are you favorite country life blogs? I would like to find more blogs similar to mine.
Thanks!!

I like to blog because it gives me a creative outlet. It also helps me keep track of our progress of turning our land into a small hobby farm. It does help keep in touch with family as well.
I like to write mostly from a humorous perspective but sometimes I vent or talk about things that are heavy on my heart. Even if no one else reads my silliness, it helps me work through things and see how far we've come.

robsiew,
You have a wonderful attitude! I hope it gets easier for you. :grouphug:

I would run outside when it was -30. You CAN run outside with the proper precautions.
It is quite exhilarating.

To be more disciplined spiritually, with homeschool, and with my attitude.
To read the entire bible next year.
To not be so hard on myself.
To set reasonable expectations.
To be a better friend.
To not care so much about what other people think about me, my choices, my life, my intelligence or my accomplishments.

I have not run in over a year. I have been so overwhelmed with so many things (like a lot of people). However, in two weeks, I will start going to the gym with my DH and begin training for a marathon. I'm hoping running every day again will help me feel normal. I have been really "off" this last year.
Running frees my mind and helps me connect with God, as I use that time to pray and keep centered. (and to get away from everyone to get some peace and quiet :D)

Does this involve wax and glitter? :D
ROFLMAO.....
no. Not at all.

Well, you know...Shaving legs, exfoliating etc...
It is such an embarrassing appt....

I just have to ask..........................
Do you find that when it is time for your yearly or tri-yearly (if that is even close to correct) you prep more than you would for a date with your DH?
My goodness. The amount of preening that goes into a check up is insane.
Please tell me I am not the only one......LOL

I feel for you Tracy. It can be hard. :grouphug:
We are not quite there yet. We will have two that are ready in a month or so. The other two will become staples of the farm for breeding.
My husband named the two that are going to the butcher "Ham" and "Bacon", the two that are saved are "Lucky" and "Petunia"
We also have another batch of chickens that will be ready around the same time.

Being told several days ago that I may have a genetic heart condition that can just suddenly kill me.....then waiting 6 days to have diagnosis confirmed all the while not telling anyone so I don't mess up their Thanksgiving. One more day until I go to the Dr and I still may not know anything until further tests are done.

I have had a lot of luck with youtube, believe it or not. There are many reputable videos on there from Discovery, History channel, National Geographic etc. Sometimes it is just a matter of putting in the right keywords.
I have also used Cosmeo in the past http://www.cosmeo.com
I can't now b/c MANY of their videos are not compatible with Macs. It is a wonderful site with a lot of good info though.
