My DS 12 has been reading a lot of fictional law stories. He is very interested in it now and wants to be able to watch real court cases, but not Judge Judy type stuff. Does anybody have anything interesting I could show him? More books, videos, court cases, curriculum, etc?
Thanks for any ideas!

Anyone have a link to a nice looking, with illustrations, full version of the Merry Adventures of Robin Hood?

We used to live in MN. If you decide to use tile anywhere I would highly recommend first putting in the coils that will hear your floor! Because you are right, in the winter those tiles feel very cold!

Thanks for the great idea! My DD is obsessed with all things AG, so this is perfect for her.

Thanks Chelli- they are almost all on Youtube. We will at least check them out there first!

My kids adore Tina Packer's Tales from Shakespeare.
Is this a book or a DVD? Thanks for the idea, btw.

Has anybody seen these and can offer an opinion?
I am looking for fun ways to introduce my kids to Shakespeare. If you have other options you like better please feel free to share them!
thanks.

I think it might be the Free Library of Philadelphia? I just remember that one because I thought the name was ironic!

I think it depends on how dressy you want to make your outfit. For a casual look you could do a denim button up shirt or even just a solid blue or white nice t-shirt.
Nice find! I love and miss shopping at thrift stores.

Our whole house is concrete and the only way to hang something up other than what has already been mentioned is to drill a hole with a cement drill bit. That is why we have only hung up things that can hang with Command strips!

Prayers!

That is really cool Heather! Will be praying for your journey.

We tried it, I was not a huge fan. The part I liked best was just that we got some writing done because we were following deadlines. Other than that, you just post things and get comments back. I wanted more direct instruction. We actually didn'tend up finishing the course, so I may not be the best one to give advice!

Low thyroid causes thinning of the outer 1/3 of your eyebrows. I have no idea why!
I was losing a lot of hair, not in a specific spot, but when I combed my hair after a shower a bunch would come out. I
started taking zinc for other reasons and noticed there is less hair loss now. Not sure if there is a real connection there, but it does seem to be continuing to help.

We live very far south, as in South America. Almost no one here has heat or AC and we would use both if we had them! It
gets very hot in the summer and quite chilly in the winter. We just have to use fans and cold showers!

That is cool. We get it for free too in Ga and it has been a good supplement the last 2 yrs we have used it.
Do homeschoolers get free access to this in Georgia? We are most likely moving to GA next year and
that would be great! I see on the GPB site where you can sign in, but just not sure if it is only
those who attend PS?

Our student loan interest rate is so low that I would prefer to pay off the mortgage first. A kitchen update almost always adds value to your home, so I would not think that your kitchen upgrade is a horrible idea!

I used Victor Journey Through the Bible with my older kids, and will start it again this year with the middle two.

Thank you all so much. This is starting to make more sense. I did only order the books based on the recommendations on the website. I didn't even think to look at the S&S to see if that was appropriate. Thankfully, my 12 year old is a little advanced and shouldn't have a problem. I hope!
I think I will start with my 9 year old first just to get a better handle on how it works, and then once we have it going I will start with the 12 year old.

Thank you!!!
So, with one moving faster than the other will that make it difficult and/or impossible to work with them together? I don't mind doing it individually, i just need to know how and when to fit it all in!

I am getting ready to start CW Aesop with my 9 year old and Older Beginners with my 12 year old. I have all the books and have looked through them but still feel a little uncertain of how to actually begin!
Would it make sense to work with both at the same time or will that make things confusing?
I will take any tips or pointers that you have!!

We live in Lima, Peru and I know what you are talking about Heather! Sometimes I have to close my eyes and just not watch what is going on because it is so crazy. (just riding, not driving!)
What I think is so funny is that to get a drivers license here you have to pass a lot of tests. Written, behind the wheel, psychological, strength, etc. But people drive like madmen.
Problems with fatigue, what tests do I need?

Here is a quick background: I probably also have PCOS, though never officially diagnosed. My Mom has it and my sister and I have many of the symptoms. I have a period maybe 3-4 times per year. I have had hormone testing in the past and many of them were off but nothing ever really worked to regulate them either.
Now I am noticing my fatigue getting so much worse. I can hardly wake up in the morning and am groggy again after lunch. I am only really feel awake in the evening and later in the night when I should be asleep! I also have that foggy head feeling quite often.
So, I had my B12, T3, T4, zinc, and A1C tested. Now think I should have asked for Free T3 and T4 instead of total, so I will probably have to redo those. The total T3 and T4 are both at the low end of the normal range. With the PCOS I thought if my A1C was high maybe I should try Metformin. But it was normal.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what else I should be testing or doing? I can not stand feeling this tired all the time!
