  1. You'd have to google the model number and find the samsung site, look up the specific printer and it should tell you what toner cartridge it needs. Then you can search the cost of that.

I've been happy with the cartridges that I've purchased from Catridge World...just a sugggestion.

Personally, I am an HP fan when it comes to laser printers. (The toner for my P2035 is around $50 at Cartridge World.) I would guess that I get way more than 2,000 pages out of a cartridge.

  2. So I took a modest 100 mg this morning, and I felt like I was burning from the inside. My whole body flushed and felt pin-pricky. It lasted for a good five minutes. My face and hands were bright red. My back felt hot and prickly, too, but I didn't check to see if it was red.

If I'm going to keep this up, I'd like some encouragement that either a) it works or b) the burning is going to subside...

If you're going to take Niacin, take it at night AND take the time-released kind. Be sure you don't have anything sugary near the time you take it. (DH found that milk triggered a lot of flushing for him.) I don't know about effectiveness for depression...but it will help your triglycerides!

  3. I hope that one of your local hospitals has a program that can help you. That's the situation we're in--youngest is covered by the state. The rest of us (18 and older) are covered by a local hospital's program. It doesn't cost us anything and has low co-pays for dr visits and such. There's a limited Rx list that's available for $5--otherwise you have to go to a regular pharmacy and pay full price. BUT, we have health care and I'm grateful for it.

You should be able to find an "imaging" center (or something like that) that does ultrasounds and xrays. I'd check their prices before going to the hospital for your test (unless the hospital offers you a **great** deal).

  4. I was taught to put the comma in as a child and the curriculum I'm using also teaches it that way.

I merrily put commas in until....I was hired at *mregtjht* (insert age--way too old--here!) to be a copy editor. I was shocked to learn that such use for a comma is OUT.

But I'm still teaching that it's IN!

  5. Here's some of our favorites:

    Taco Soup

2 lb ground something (turkey or beef), cooked

2 lrg cans of black or kidney beans

    1 lrg can of corn

    1 can crushed tomatoes

    Onion, diced

    2 pks taco seasoning

    2 pks ranch dressing

Throw all in the crockpot (don't drain the liquid from the cans) and cook for 4 hours on low. Serve topped with cheese, sour cream, or tortilla chips.

    Creamy Cooker Chicken

1 lrg crm of mushroom soup

    2 c sour cream

2 pkgs of onion soup mix

Mix well. Add 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Cook on low for 8 hours.

    Serve over rice.

Pepsi Pot Roast (I know you said no beef, but we LOVE this!)

    3-4 pound roast

    Lrg cream of mushroom soup

1 env dry onion soup mix

    16 oz of Pepsi

Put roast in the crockpot. Top with soups and pour in Pepsi.

Cook on High for 6 hours.

    Serve over rice.

    Mac and Cheese:

16 oz of dry macaroni, cooked

    4 tbsp oil

    2 cans evaporated milk

    3 c of milk

    2 tsp salt

6 cups of shredded cheese (I use 1/3 Velveeta and 2/3 cheddar)

Onion, chopped fine (a little--4 tbs or so)

Toss macaroni in oil. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook on Low for 3 hours.

  6. It is very hard to assume the parenting role for your parents/in-laws, and it's a sad day when you realize that you MUST do so. That is where you are. Somehow, you MUST help and guide them to make good decisions.

I'm so sorry that you are facing this kind of health crisis and that you live far away. That makes the whole thing so much harder. You'll be in my prayers.
