I returned a Singapore book once...it was new when it left my house but arrived "unsaleable." (guess it was damaged in the mail???)
I still received a full refund.
I don't remember how long it took--more in the range of 2-3 weeks I think.

This deep pain honors the deep love we have for my Dad. Life is beautiful and so dang hard sometimes.
I'm nearing the 7th anniversary of my dad's passing and the second for my mom. The last few days I have been thinking of them and have cried much. Your quote above is eloquent. I loved them deeply and miss them more than I can express.
I'll be thinking of you today. I hope that you can share the good memories and remember with laughter the wonderful times you shared with your dad.

You know you're in the Midwest...when it's May and the furnace is still running and there's a frost warning...and next week it will probably be 80 degrees.
Ugh. I need some time with no furnace and no air conditioner running!

I'll just add that it *can* take 6 weeks for that first unemployment check to arrive. Don't count on that between jobs.

I've NEVER had problems with Costco's customer service in the optical department. I have had to replace frames within the first year--that was done without a hitch.
Once my dh put his glasses down on the bed--and I sat on them. (oops!) Got the frame replaced.
Call them. Talk to the manager of the department.

Niacin can also help. Timed release...you can purchase OTC at the drugstore for around $5. Take it at night and be sure you haven't had anything sugary, including milk, within a couple of hours of taking it. (Otherwise, the flushing can be really bad.)

I used Academic Superstore last time...but I've also purchased directly from Adobe. I've never had any questions or problems.

I have always paid the yearly fee for the group I direct...except for the year the board waived it for me.

I've been using R&S math with my youngest since 1st grade; he's doing the 4th grade book now. I really like it. It's not so drill, drill, drill that I want to beat my head on the wall, but it does thoroughly cover a concept. It's old-fashioned, but it works.

After spending 5 years teaching middle school Language Arts, I knew I did not want my kids in the public school system. I didn't even HAVE kids at that point! I thought I'd send them to a private school--and we did that for a while with my older 2. It was a small school that kept getting smaller and smaller and pretty soon my dd was home 2 days a week. It wasn't a big leap to homeschooling.
While I was a ps teacher, I took on several homebound kids. I was given 3 hours **a week** to teach them the basics. All of those kids came back to school ready to step back into the classroom. Sadly enough, their classes weren't progressing any faster. I knew I could do much, much better than that!

I got up at 4 for Diana's wedding. I realized the other day that I could DVR the wedding on April 29 and watch it later...which is exactly what I plan to do! :-)

I'd register. You do fit the rules and are organized and operating legally in the state of IN.
Our group has been registered for years--I joined 7 years ago and they were already participating, so I don't know what they did to sign up. We average about $100 a year, not much but it's really helpful!

I've worn no-line bifocals for 10+ years now. I had very little adjustment to them and am very happy with them. I think if you give it a few days you'll be OK.

I went to see it last night and thought it was terrible. It was s..l...o....w for one thing. Started at the middle of the story and presented brief flashbacks. Missed many of the key points of the story and ended at the wrong place. No chemistry between Jane and Mr. Rochester. It was a very poor version. Save your money and rent one of the other versions!

Didn't Ham say he did not sign a contract with the convention?
There was another creation-based company there. I would not say they are Ken's "partner"--simply another company with the same viewpoint in terms of creation.
No one from AIG was there. AIG itself was not a vendor at the convention, though evidently some companies had some of their products available. That's not unusual...Rainbow carries both SWB and AIG products.

I doubt that I'll go back. Honestly, the workshops this year just didn't interest me that much. The vendor hall was great, though. If I participate at all next year, it will be just a vendor hall trip one day. (The Duggar thing was just way toooo much.)

I bought my mother a pair of gold earrings and got my dad something Purdue-ish. :-) Mostly they were happy we made the trip up from FL (where we lived at the time) to spend time with them.

I have some stickers and will leave them at the PHP booth. (Hopefully they'll be OK with it!)

Roll away! There's a bunch of them at convention so you won't be the only one.

I'm perturbed that the 6th street garages won't let you overnight until Friday!

Some babies just need the contact. My last never slept anywhere but in contact with me. As soon as I tried to put him down (in the crib, on the couch, in the carseat, in a swing...), he instantly woke up. I held him for naps and slept next to him for several years. It took him a long time, but he finally got over that need. He's now happily sleeping in his own room.
It may not be east for you, but contact with you may just be what the baby needs. It won't last forever, even though it seems like it right now.
