  1. Hi Holly! War Eagle back at you! :001_smile: I see you are from GA....that's my home state. I miss it. I appreciate your input on the chef's knife. I will look into this one as well. Thanks you for your recommendation.
  2. Thanks for replying so quickly and for your research! I'll check these knives out.
  3. I have seen the TV chefs use a large knife, which I assume is a chef's knife, for all kinds of slicing and chopping. I would like to have one of these that is not too expensive. Any recommendations? Thanks for your help!
  4. What a great idea! Thanks for the tip. I think I will sign up for their catalog. My grandson found two of his great-grandmother's Country magazines this past week and "read" them over and over again looking for the animal pictures. My neighbor gets several outdoor and hunting magazines so I will ask him if he can spare some of his old ones.
  5. My 2 year old grandson loves books and magazines with lots of animal pictures. I would like to get him a subscription to an animal magazine for young children for Christmas. Any recommendations? Thanks so much!
  6. Thanks for your help with this! I think I know how to pronounce the last 3 words but am not sure about Jesus's name "Iesus". Can you help with this too?
  7. I hope someone can tell me how to say the phrase "Jesus Christ is Lord" in Latin. We need this for vacation Bible school. Thanks so much!
  8. During the last two weeks, I have responded to around 4 or 5 posts on the Want-To-Buy board not too long after they were posted. No one is getting back with me on my offers to their WTB's. I post on the board and also send them a private message. Are people finding their item and just not letting me know? Please folks, if you buy your item from someone, let me and others know by posting that you found it.
  9. Kathleen, I appreciate your congratulations and wish you a wonderful educational journey for the next 9 years. Congratulations on graduating two already! The time will fly by and all of a sudden your youngest will be 18....like mine!
  10. Well, after 9 years of homeschooling, my youngest has finished her course work and will soon be awarded her high school diploma. Yahoo! Homeschooling is one of the best things we ever did for our family...no regrets here. It is nice to be finished though:001_smile: Blessings to all of you still on the journey.
  11. I like the candles from Bath and Body Works....White Barn Candles. They are wonderfully fragrant candles and last a long time. Most of the candle burns. My favorites are the cinnamon, coconut lime verbena and pumpkin spice.
  12. My dd used one of their guides about 3 or 4 years ago...I think it was high school level. She liked it OK but prefers Progeny Press. I like Progeny Press better also, but can't exactly tell you why because it has been so long and we don't own the TLP any longer. I don't think there was really anything really wrong with TLP. It's probably like most curricula...you have to actually try it to know whether you like it or not.
  13. That's sweet. How old is your kitty? We have two senior cats....ages 19 1/2 and 18. The 18 year old male surprised us 2 days ago and climbed a tree and went onto the roof of our house. He hasn't done that in several years. The older kitty has some kidney problems, but still can run up and down the stairs and amazes us with a spark of energy here and there. I think they all feel spring in the air.
