  1. We have a Judy Clock that the kids play with. I've never done formal teaching on money or time, but the kids all know by the time they're 6 or 7. I just answer questions as they come up and they get it.
  2. Had mine 5 months ago during my c/s. I'd love more kids, but had a partial rupture and we just think it would be foolish after 4 c/s. I am not pleased. I have been bleeding almost continuously since the tubal and am about to get an ulcer from taking so much Ibuprofen for the cramps. I'm having a hysterectomy on Monday and cannot wait.
  3. I take Lexapro during pregnancy and about a year after each child. Otherwise I am cranky, moody, tired and irritable. It makes a huge difference for me. The only side effect is decreased libido. And considering we've had 11 pregnancies in 11 yrs, I don't think it's been that much of a problem.
  4. Yup! I can't stand Jim Weiss's voice, but we still listen to them in the car. Oldest ds has listened to all 4 sets. He adores history and has learned a lot listening to them.
  5. We do ours in the car a lot of times. We review the memory work and definitions while we drive. I made a list of the titles of everything we've memorized this year and we recite them together. So far we have: The Caterpillar Work Hearts Ten Commandments 23rd Psalm Books of OT Noun Proper noun Pronoun II Tim 3:16-17
  6. Yes! Just got my packages from Lampstand Press and Bookshelf Central for our TOG 1-4 yesterday. (We had to consolidate MFW CTG so we can be ready for TOG yr 2 next year- they start at different times). And the Amazon man comes almost daily. :) I love book days! Of course, I have to work (I'm an ER nurse) today, have church and stuff all day tomorrow and then I'm having a hysterectomy on Monday. So I won't be able to dig in to my goodies until next week sometime.
  7. Yup. Singapore doesn't have much on these topics, so we supplemented with the Math Mammoth units.
  8. I am overwhelmed. With 6 kids 10 and under (including 2 dyslexics and one with sensory issues), a nursing baby and a part time job, I am not able to get everything done. We have been doing Singapore and the kids like it, but I have to sit with them and teach everything for math. Susannah is second grade and doing 2A/2B this year. Nate is 4th grade and doing 3A/3B. Would TT be a good fit for us next year? What levels would be good? We are starting TOG after spring break for our main stuff (we just finished MFW CTG).
  9. Cut off a cast to play in a football game Redislocate finger and try to make my own new cast out of plaster of paris and gauze Put away dishes angry (slammed a knife on the counter and severed tendons in my fingers) Shave the dog
