Not sure about the blogging, but we're having the same problem with our dd. She went to public school K-4th and we homeschooled for 5th, 6th, and 1st half of 7th. Then we placed in a private christian school for the remainder of the year because of the social aspect. She made some friends but the friendships were most "superficial" unfortunately and we had a few bad experiences causing us to go back to homeschooling for her 8th grade year next year. She is very independent and a quick learner, but she CAN'T STAND being alone in the 'classroom'. Also she's turning 13 in a couple of weeks and I'm sure alot of the attitude I get is from 'hormones'. I would LOVE some fresh advice on how to handle the situation we're in to hopefully make things a little lighter.
BTW, for her 8th grade year, she'll be in a co-op class once a week and as soon as our covering's volleyball team starts up she'll be participating.
