True-not another planet :0) But for a dh 49 and me 40 it is a really big decision. Technology does help in keeping up with friends and family -isn't is great --not like when Laura Ingalls family left the Little House in the Big Woods. We have friends here from NZ and we love the way they speak.

My dh rec'd a call about a church looking for a pastor in NZ and we have a couple of days to let them know if we are interested. Part of me would love the adventure and beginning anew, but my mom would be soooo upset. We live 3 hours from my parents and they come help if we have a baby or get sick etc. and they love the grandkids. My MIL lives in town, but we do not see her much. I know nothing about NZ. We are from TX and live here now, but lived 5 yrs in SC and 1 year in MI-would the culture shock just be too much?

My kids raked together enough snow/ice to fill a tonka dumptruck and they are thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!!

She has had a runny nose for over two weeks and it has only gotten worse although it is clear now. She doesn't have fever but has developed a cough in the last 36 hours. She takes a daily vitamin and is drinking emergen-C powder. I have limited her dairy too. She takes benedryl at night to help with congestion. Thanks!

I use the NeilMed all the time. I don't believe water would be still up there. You have to keep your head at the right angle for it to work just right. It's pretty much for me the same as looking down at the computer keyboard--too much and you would feel it under your chin and too little you couldn't see the keys well. Does that make sense? Beware, not to do it too much if you are completely stopped up because I actually hurt my ear once. Before I blow after, I tilt my head back and to the sides to make sure it gets everywhere and then blow each nostril until you feel clear. Also, always use warm water. Hope this helps

Baby #4 that I just had 7 weeks ago, was by far the most active in the womb and so far the most calm baby-sleeps good, chills out easily etc.--go figure:001_smile:

My new dd is 6 weeks old and sleeps 7 hours per night. She is nursing every 2-4 hours during the day and gaining weight-very peaceful-she is not a fussy baby. I have had two dc before with slow weight gain and I get very concerned. I am not a milk truck :) I don't engorge during the night. But-I just started my cycle again-it seems soooo early-could this be from going over 6 hours at night? Does this mean I could lose my supply? I guess I need to wake up and pump at night- HOWEVER, with two toddlers that get up with the sun, I just hate the idea of getting up(I can't nurse or pump half asleep) to nurse while baby sleeps. I will talk to the midwife tomorrow-but I'd love to hear what you guys think. Thanks:001_smile:

You know I have never really cared WHERE people touch my babies--but this one puts her hands in her mouth alot. I am beginning to really like the sling idea when with people:) I let my toddlers touch her hands and feet, but not head and face-I do try to make sure they wash their hands often though.

My DD will be 4weeks on Sunday and I am trying to decide if we should take her to the Christmas program on Sunday night or not. My ds is in it and I want to go. I could try to find a sitter or just keep her with me, but everyone will want to take a look. I don't sense that there are alot of people sick around here right now. I have never really worried about it before, but with H1N1, I am concerned.
